It’s a long story, but in the summer of 1970, I traded my 1967 RS SS 350 beautiful blue Camaro without AC for a new 1970 440 Dodge Charge with AC for $1500.   I have regretted that decision every since.  Today, it would be worth $65k.

The IRR on the $1500 equals 8% compounded annually for 49 yrs.  But it’s not about the money, it’s about the fun drag racing between stop lights on Chester Avenue in Bakersfield, CA.   That was fun.
